Out and About

Our transit experts have been busy, kicking off February with an exciting series of presentations and meetings throughout the County.

More than 30 people attended the transit information meeting at Cameron Village Library on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.

Speakers are visiting different locations all month to discuss the Transit Choices Report and transit survey, and to listen to your comments and questions.

With events happening nearly every day, we started with a transit presentation to the Wake County Board of Commissioners on Monday, February 2. That meeting was followed by an event with the Triangle Transit Board Operations & Finance Committee on Tuesday, February 3.

On Wednesday, a transit expert presented to the NC State University Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) leadership team on campus, so that we make sure we’re including the voices of the large student population in the County.

Thursday, February 5, was a busy day with two separate events—a meeting with the Capital Area Friends of Transit (CAFT) organization, and a presentation to the Carrboro-Chapel Hill Chamber of Commerce.

If you haven’t had a chance to attend a transit meeting yet, don’t worry! We are organizing presentations and events in every town in the County, and are posting all upcoming sessions on the Wake Transit website under the Meetings tab. There will be an opportunity to hear a transit presentation in your neighborhood soon. And in the meantime, have you watched the Wake Transit video yet? It’s a great way to learn more about the Transit Choices Report and current transit situation in the County!
